When placing an order with ByKemi all orders are subject to the terms and conditions set out below:

Payment

Payment can be made through the website payment system when ordering a postal item. When ordering a bespoke cake, once we have had a consultation and a quote has been provided by way of an invoice - the full payment is required at the time of booking in order to secure the date. This will be via BACS transfer or a unique link can be created on the website to allow for credit card payment.

Deposits

We have a deposit system in place for wedding cakes only. If you need to pay in instalments, this can be discussed, but the full payment will be required at least 4 weeks prior to the event date.

 

Delivery

We are partnered with Evermile for our deliveries within London. Their windows are: Morning (10-2pm), Afternoon (2-6pm)

Due to the time windows, we recommend getting the cake a day in advance.

On occasion, we can also use Uber to deliver cakes nearby, on the morning of delivery, we will request a quote via the app and place the boxed cake securely in the car. With this option, you will need to meet the driver on the other side.

Loss or Damages

We package and assemble all our cakes with utmost care and attention, however we cannot be held responsible for any products damaged once it has left our care or during a customers own transportation or storage. We advise a cold car for cake transport, with the cake on the floor on the passenger side as this is the flattest part of the car. We strongly advise against travelling with the cake on a lap. We cannot take responsibility for any delays caused by circumstances out of our control.

Cancellations

If for any reason you wish to cancel your order more than 14 days prior to dispatch of your cake , we will offer a full refund less any deposits paid. However, cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. In the unlikely event we have to cancel an order, we will offer a full refund.

Refunds

As our cakes are a perishable product, we are unable to issue any refunds.

Variations in Products

As all of our cookie and cakes are individually handmade there may be slight variations in the finished products.
